Bill Foote
November 2, 1953 - August 21, 2025
Early in the morning of Thursday, August 21, 2025, our beloved father Bill Foote, aged 71, left us to be with the Lord. He was born to Bill Foote and Jimmie Jean Foote on November 2, 1953, in Kansas City, MO. He grew up and graduated from Osceola High School in 1971, where he played many sports, but excelled in baseball. Shortly after graduation, he enrolled in the US Navy and was stationed on both the east and west coast. He was honorably discharged on October 18,1972. Before leaving Osceola he started his first company, Foote Construction. He built a beautiful log cabin in Osceola, which is still standing today. Shortly later, he left Osceola to start his life in Colorado. He began a successful flooring and construction business and continued in that trade for the majority of his life. He was an expert in his craft and took great pride in his workmanship. On August 18,1984 , Bill wed Mellany Thurston and had 3 children, Sean(41), Bodell(39) and Jeremy(35). Although Bill and Mellany divorced in 2002, they remained close throughout the years and celebrated holidays and special occasions as a family. He was the general contractor on his family's childhood home in Elizabeth, CO. He coached his children's baseball and softball teams and was never one to miss his children playing on game day. He enjoyed golfing, cheering for the Broncos, and of course listening to the blues and playing his guitar. When he became a grandfather, he was dedicated to seeing each of them excel in their sports/hobbies as well. In fact, much of his time spent in Colorado was playing with his grandchildren, Presley (15), Harper (12), Brayden (10) and Holden (6). In 2020, he moved back to his hometown of Osceola, where he opened his final business, Indian Dogs, in the heart of town. His life was enriched by the friendships and time spent with loved ones. Bill was a neighbor and a friend that would help without question or hesitation. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and son. He would say his greatest accomplishment in life was raising his children, and he most certainly will live on through each of us. Bill was preceded in death by his father Bill Foote, his mother Jimmie Foote, and his brother Tim Foote. He is survived by his brothers, Steve Foote (Merrilee Foote) and Richard Foote (Karen Foote) his children, Sean Foote (Missy Foote), Bodell Michaud (Christopher Michaud), Jeremy Foote (Catherine Alexander); along with all of his grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
